Untitled

written in great sadness and confusion

Sorrow is the salt of life
Pleasures are all the greater
because of it
Too much destroys taste
The salt in your mouth
stopped you from partaking
in the food of life.
The pleasures in the past
made you hungrier still.
You put the salt on your
food - I watched you

Each grain, each sprinkle you savored
and collected.
Your collection was you, you gave others your
sorrows - but in the dark - they didn't see.

The salt in my mouth
is your salt
but I put it there.
I savor the salt
Because it was
yours - because it is mine
I miss you my friend
I wish you had known
more about spice
Blood will not wash
salt from the mouth.
It put more in mine.
